DOUBLE CROWN BRAID WEDDING HAIRSTYLE

Updos look great when styled appropriately at the crown. This wedding hairstyle will be a combination of a French braid around the hairline and a braid around the bun at the crown. The hairstyle will look great on you when you have long hair or medium size length hair. In case your hair is short, opt for human hair extensions to make it longer and thicker.

HOW TO STYLE DOUBLE CROWN BRAID WEDDING HAIRSTYLE

Begin by brushing your hair using hair brush backward to make it smooth and easy to style. Use the tail of the rat-tail comb to part your hair from the front around the crown to create a circle at the top of your head. Fold it at the crown and secure it in place using hairgrips or hairclips.

Let the rest of the hair to fall down your head and comb it to ensure that it’s flat, smooth and evenly distributed around your head. Grab a small section of hair from behind your left ear and do a 3 strand French braid all round your head. As you are French braiding, add hair to the braid from only one side (bottom of your head).

Continue French braiding around the crown to the end keeping the braid near your hairline.  When you run out of hair braid the remaining hair to the ends and tuck under the remaining braid into the main braid and use hairpins to secure it in place.

Remove the hairclip or hairgrip from the middle-top section you secured at the crown and once again part it in a circle the way you did it initially. Hold the top hair into a tight high ponytail and secure it with a ponytail holder. Let the other hair to fall down around your head.

Now take the bun maker (donut bun styler), put the ponytail through it and slide it to the base of the ponytail. Secure the bun maker at the scalp with a couple of hair pins.

Let the ponytail hair to evenly fall around the bun maker and warp it around the donut bun styler. However, before wrapping the hair around the donut bun styler, section off about half of the ponytail hair and tie it up. Use a comb to flatten any sticking out hair strands for a perfect and stylish hairstyle.

Take hair elastic and slide it over the hair around the bun maker. Twist the hair and wrap it around the donut bun styler. Secure the ends with hair pins or bobby pins. Once you are done styling the donut bun, loosen up the hair which you tied up.

Now you are going to do another French braid with the hair parted in the circle. When doing the French braid, add hair sectioned from the donut bun to the left of the braid. Braid all way round your head as you keep adding in hair which you sectioned from the bun maker. When you run out of hair, continue braiding the remaining hair strands till their ends and secure with hair elastic.

Tuck the remaining braid under the main braid and secure in place with hairpins. You are free to use your favorite conditioning gel to control the fly aways. Add smooth shine and hairspray to give your hairstyle super shine and a strong finish.

ELEGANT FORMAL HALF UPDO WEDDING HAIRSTYLE

This is an elegant wedding updo which can be dressed to a wedding or any formal occasion. You can style this wedding hairstyle even if when your hair is short because you will use human hair extensions to add some length to the back. It’s a cute and super-hot wedding hairstyle which is easy and quick to style as it will take you less than 10 minutes to style.

If your hair is long enough past the shoulders, there is no need to add in hair extensions. However, for this elegant formal half updo wedding hairstyle to look great and cute on ladies with medium length or short hair , human hair extensions are a must to the style.

HOW TO STYLE ELEGANT FORMAL HALF UPDO WEDDING HAIRSTYLE

Curled hair will be the best hairstyle to work on when styling this elegant half updo wedding hairstyle. Therefore, begin by curing your hair with a one inch curling iron to a bouncy and sexy look. Section your hair by making a side part and clip away the sides. The parting of the sides should be from the ears forward then up to the top of your head.

Section or split the back into three sections (the first top section at the crown, then the middle section and lastly the bottom section) and secure them with hair clips.

Remove the clip from the middle section at the back and tease the hair at the roots to add volume and thickness to it. Grab the hair of the middle section and make a side ponytail. Secure the side ponytail at the base with a ponytail holder and pull out the sides to create a slight perm. For a fuller and longer ponytail, attach your favorite curled human hair extension at the base of your ponytail by wrapping it around the ponytail holder.

Remove the hairclip from the bottom section and tease the roots to add volume and make it look thicker. Create a bottom French twist by rolling the hair up and wrapping it around the ponytail and pinning it into place using bobby pins. Use a comb to flatten any sticking out hair strands and apply hairspray to hold the style in place.

For the top section at the crown, use hair padding (also called hair bump it) and place it underneath your hair (on the scalp) to lift the roots up.  First you are going to tease the roots of your hair, pin the hair bump it into place then smooth your hair over it.

For the sides, pick a small section of hair from the top and pin it right above the bottom French twist with bobby pins. With the ends, wrap it around two fingers to create a soft curl and then pin the two openings of the curl with two bobby pins. Take the hairpin and pin the curl down so that your curl isn’t sticking out. Do the same to the rest of the hair you sectioned to the sides ( in this I mean apply the same technique of pining above the bottom French twist with bobby pins and wrapping the ends around two fingers to create a soft curl).

Apply hairspray to hold your elegant formal half updo wedding hairstyle in place for a long time and you will be done and good to go.

WEDDING HAIRSTYLE FOR SHORT CURLY HAIR

Not all ladies are gifted with long hair and those with short hair need to style them to look great on their wedding. In this case, we will show you how to style short curly hair for a wedding to look cute and stunning on your wedding day. The trick is really simple and it will take you less than 10 minutes to style your short curly hair to a wedding.

HOW TO STYLE WEDDING HAIRSTYLE FOR SHORT CURLY HAIR

As we said before, your short hair has to be curled for easy styling and to give your hair more volume so that it looks thicker. Begin by teasing your short curly hair at the crown using your hair brush. Brush the hair back to give it a nice tease so that your hair appears fuller making it easier to stick the hair pins in. In case your short curly hair has bangs, go ahead and tease them into the rest of the hair.

Pass your fingers through the hair to the back so that it elongates your face. You can part it to the sides (whatever fits your face shape to make you look great and adorable). Apply hairspray to your hair to hold it in place and use a comb or your fingers to smooth it out.

Take a little section of hair on the side right above the corner of your eyebrows and twist it loosely to the back. Secure with bobby pins that matches the color of your hair. Grab more sections of hair at the sides up to around the bottom (base) of your ears and loosely twist them to the back and secure with bobby pins. Go to the other side, twist, bobby pin and you will be done styling the sides.

Now go back to the front and grab a 1 inch curling iron to curl the front hair to change the shape of your curls to create more texture in your front hair. Brush it out using your fingers or hair brush and finish the look by applying hairspray to hold it in place.

ALTERNATIVE OPTION:

You can keep the foundation in the above style and just braid up the sides to change the hairstyle to a completely new, cute and pretty wedding hairstyle. To begin this wedding hairstyle, brush through the hair on the sides to make your hair smooth for easy braiding.

Take a nice clean triangle section on the side right above the corner of your eyebrows. Divide the section into three strands and begin a regular or inverted French braid all the way down till when you get to the bottom of your hair. Secure the braid with 2 to 3 bobby pins depending on the thickness of your hair.

You can just leave your hair just like that or do a French braid on the other side and secure the two braids at the back. Style your front hair in a way you want them to look like and you will be done creating and styling your wedding hairstyle for short curly hair.

WEDDING UPDO HAIRSTYLE

This is a cute, trendy wedding updo which you can create and wear to your wedding as a bride, bridesmaid or when attending any wedding. It’s simple and easy than it looks. It can be style on ladies with long or medium length hair as it’s a combination of a bun and curls over it. To create this wedding hairstyle, you will need to get hair extensions which to create bouncy curls on top of the bun you created before.

HOW TO CREATE A WEDDING UPDO HAIRSTYLE

To begin this look, wash your hair with shampoo and hair conditioner to make it clean and easy to work with. Blow-dry all the hair in the same direction (from the face back to the crown). This will create a smooth and clean look which will be easy to work with.

Section your hair diagonally from the top of your right ears through the crown to the other side of your left ear. Grab all the front sectioned hair and create a high ponytail. Use hair elastic to secure this ponytail.

Bend your head toward the back to avoid a loose hair while securing into a high ponytail for the back section. You can now bring all the back hair into a high ponytail. Combine the hair from the back with the ponytail you created at the front. This time you will have to use a ponytail holder to firmly secure the ponytail at the base.

Grab a bun maker and slide it all the way down to the base of the ponytail holder. Evenly distribute all the ponytail hair around the bun maker to cover it up and tuck it underneath the bun. Push the bun against your head and use bobby pin to secure the tucked in ends. Continue bobby pining all the way round the bun to make sure that your bun is secured in place.

You can apply hair spray to your hair then comb the strands sticking out of bun. Alternatively, you can put hairnet around your bun to fix hair strands sticking out of the bun. The bun will act as the base for this wedding updo hairstyle.

Grab your three strand human hair extensions and secure it with bobby pins on top of the bun. Take the first hair piece or strand and wrap it around your 2 or 3 fingers depending on how you want the lope (curl) to look like. Two fingers will create a smaller loop while three fingers will create a bigger loop for bouncy curls over your bun. You can now secure the loop at the bottom from both sides using booby pins. This will help your hair to stay in place while making other loops using the same hair piece.

Make as many loops as you can in different directions randomly around the bun. I.e. horizontally, vertically, sidewise whichever way you want it to look on your head. Continue creating these loops till when you run out of hair in the first loop. Do the same with the rest of the hair pieces to cover the entire bun with loops and rolls.

Apply hairspray to keep the hairstyle in place and give your hair a super shine finish and you will be done.
