When going for an interview, you are required to dress the best outfits to portray who you are. The dress code might either earn you a job or disqualify you from getting that very job you have ever wanted. This is because the dress code depicts what you really are and what they expect from you at work. Just dress in the attires which makes you comfortable and not to distract others.
Basic Steps on What to Wear to an Interview | How to Dress for an Interview
Outfit 1: Don’t put on skirts/dresses/shorts above your knees. This rule applies to both men and women. Women should not put of very short mini shirts which exposes their thighs because you will make the audience uncomfortable and that will portray what image you will bring to the company if employed.
Many men love putting on shorts and move around town, but for the sake of interview, pleases kindly do not put on shorts when going for an interview coz am sure you will not qualify for that job. Let’s take an example in the pictures below; You can’t dress like that when going for an interview, it’s indecent. Descent dressing is the most desirable for both men and women when going for an interview.
Outfit 2: Don’t put on very tight clothes which can display/ show your entire “figure”. It’s recommended when going for an interview to put on attires which best fits you. There is no need to display your figure to the interviewer because it’s not what they are look for from you and won’t earn you any credit.
Outfit 3: If you can, then a suite is the best attire to put on when going for an interview. When dressed in a suite, it makes you look smart, and presentable before the audience. Therefore if you can afford to buy for yourself a nice suite then put it on for an interview and if you can’t, then borrow from a friend.
Outfit 4: Don’t put on skimpy dresses and leggings. Many women look beautiful when they wear skimpy dresses and leggings but don’t wear them for an interview because even before they interview you, you are disqualified immediately. Just wear dress and pants which look good on you when matched with the correct top and shoes.
Outfit 5: Folded sleeves and sleeveless shouldn’t be put on when going for an interview. Even if you are going for a wrestling interview, please as longer as it’s an interview try to dress descent. Remember to reduce on accessories when going for an interview because accessories are mainly for weddings not for a job interview.
