HOW TO STYLE FISHTAIL BRAID PROM HAIRSTYLE FOR LONG HAIR
Start by making your hair straight so that the braid looks cute and easy to design. Straight hair will be the best hair to work on when styling a fishtail braid. Using your hair brush, brush your hair down to the back and grab it all together into a high ponytail. Secure the high ponytail with a ponytail holder.
Instead of doing a regular 3 strand braid, you are going to do a kind of a 2 strand braid but not an ordinary 2 strand braid. Some ladies prefer a side fishtail braid, and in this you don’t have to pull your hair into a high ponytail, just pull it to the side and divide it into two strands and begin to do a fishtail and reverse fishtail braid.
But in this case, we will consider working with a secured high ponytail. Divide the high ponytail into two large hair strands.
Grab little piece of hair from the back of the right strand and cross it over the strand to the inside of the left strand.
Grab a little piece of hair from the back of the left strand and cross it over the strand to the inside of the right strand.
Repeat the above two steps to create the second fishtail braid.

You are going to do the above 4 steps over and over again till when you run out of hair. Note: Alternate or interchange two regular fishtail braids then two reverse fishtail braids till when you reach the ends of your hair.

ROPE TWISTED PINWHEEL BUN PROM HAIRSTYLE FOR LONG HAIR
This is one of my favorite hairstyles which I mostly wear to any occasion. The bun is so convenient that you can wear this hairstyle for 2 to 3 days without any difficulties. I mainly wear it when going for gymnastics and other related sports but you can as well wear this rope twisted pinwheel bun hairstyle to prom or homecoming, wedding, any special occasion, you can mention it all.
It took me 20 minutes to style this cute Prom Hairstyle for Long Hair but depending on your styling skill, you may spend less than 20 minutes to create this hairstyle. Try it on your prom or homecoming and see how other people will stare at you!
HOW TO STYLE ROPE TWIST PINWHEEL BUN PROM HAIRSTYLE FOR LONG HAIR
For this Prom Hairstyle for Long Hair to look cute and great on you, your hair has to be clean and straight. In case you have dirty hair which is tangled, I would advise you to wash it with shampoo and hair conditioner to make it clean. Blow-dry from the ends to the roots and use a comb plus hair brush to remove any tangles and knots from your hair. For the style to look great, make sure your hair is a little wet or damp for easy styling.
After removing any tangles and knots, grab your hair into a high ponytail and secure it with a ponytail holder.
Choose a bun maker which matches the color of your hair and pull the ponytail hair through. Slide the bun maker down to the base of the ponytail. It should go to the point of the ponytail holder for a firm and trendy pinwheel bun. You can now allow your hair to evenly distribute around the bun maker and use your hair brush to comb it down so that it’s even, fine, nice and smooth.
Create a small parting of the hair evenly distributed around the bun maker where you will start rope twisting (in this I mean create a segment [separation between 2 spots] at the side right above your left or right ear. Grab a small piece of hair and separate it into two equal hair pieces. First you will twist them in the same direction and then rope-twist them together in the opposite direction. Rope twist down about 3 to 4 inches thus there is no need to rope twist all the way down to the ends.
Pull out the twist you created through the middle of the bun maker and untwist its ends (in case you twisted all way down to the ends) to give room to add in more hair strands for a continued rope twist around the bun maker.
Again, grab a small section of hair and divide it into two equal strands. Evenly add the two small hair strands to the shorter strands from the previous twist and continue rope-twisting. Repeat the above two steps to create rope twists till when you run out of hair around the bun maker.
When you reach the last rope twist, rope twist it to the very ends and pull it through the middle of the bun maker. Wrap it around under the bun maker and secure it in place using bobby pins. Tuck under any small piece of hair sticking out and evenly distribute the rope twist around the bun maker for a cute and perfect hairstyle.
You can add hair accessories such as flowers to your hairstyle to make it look personal and trendy. Finish the look with hairspray and smooth shine to give your hair a shine finish.

CUTE PROM WEDDING HAIRSTYLE
This is an easy hairstyle which you can wear to a prom or wedding. It’s an updo which will take you less than 10 minutes to style it. Most ladies think that updos are for long hair; this updo Prom Hairstyle for Long Hair can be styled for short or medium length hair and will look great, cute & pretty on your face. It will look greater when your hair is curled from the middle to the ends for a bouncy bun at the back.
HOW TO STYLE CUTE PROM WEDDING HAIRSTYLE
Start by dividing your hair into four sections one at the left side, the other at the right side, crown and the last section at the upper back (all the hair above the ears). Secure the sections using hairclips or hairgrips
Remove the hairclip from the behind section and take a small section of hair. Wrap the hair strand around two fingers to form a donut and pin it in place using bobby pins. Use as many bobby pins as you can as long as they aren’t visible coz at the prom you will be dancing and winging your head so you don’t want your hair falling apart.
Continue wrapping small sections of your behind section and bobby pin them to the scalp till when you run out of hair from that section.
When you are done with the back or behind section, remove the hair clips from the section at the crown. Tease the middle of your hair to add volume and make it look thicker. Pin down the section at the crown just right above the behind section which you curled. Make more curls (by wrapping hair strands around two fingers) with the ends of the hair in this section and secure them in place with bobby pins.
Note: For a perfect and professional look, keep your left finger inside the donut while pinning and keep it firmly presses against the head. If you’re a righty, pin with your right fingers and if you’re a lefty, pin with your left fingers.
For the sides, put them tightly back in a twist. For the left side, twist the section clockwise before pining across the previous bobby pins and for the other section on the right side, you will twist it counter clockwise before pining it over the previous bobby pins.
Use hairspray or lacquer in plenty to hold your hair in place so that it stays in the preferred design for a long time. Accessorize with fancy hair accessories such as flowers to add more style to the hairstyle.

CLASSIC ELEGANT PROM HAIRSTYLE FOR LONG HAIR
This is a classic elegant hairstyle suitable for formal work environment and special occasions. This is an updo hairstyle which you can wear to prom, homecoming or any party tonight. You can style this hairstyle when your hair is either of medium length or long but not short. Ladies with thin and fine hair are definitely the winner for this Prom Hairstyle for Long Hair but it can as well be styled on ladies with thick hair.
HOW TO STYLE CLASSIC ELEGANT PROM HAIRSTYLE FOR LONG HAIR
Begin by sectioning the hair on the sides of your head. You can do this by using the ends of a rat tail comb to section off the hair on the sides and secure with hair elastic.
Gently grab the rest of the hair and secure it into a medium high ponytail using a ponytail holder. You can use hair brush to flatten any hair strands sticking out. Loosen up the ponytail a little bit by pulling the ponytail holder a little behind.
Insert your fingers above the elastic and gently pull your hair in the opposite direction creating a kind of pocket under the ponytail holder. Starting from the ponytail holder, tuck the ponytail into the pocket and evenly distribute all your hair inside it. Even out your hair above the tuck by using your fingers to make it match with the tuck. Secure your hair using a couple of bobby pins depending on the thickness of your hair.
It’s time to style the two front hair sections. Remove the hair clips or elastic (whatever tool you used to secure them) and create a loose twist.
Take a section of hair from the top of the first section, split it into two small sections and start twisting it away from your face. As you twist, add some hair to the top strand and continue twisting. When you are near the ends, stop twisting and pull out the twist to add volume to it to create a look which flatters and looks great on your face (be creative). Continue twisting till the ends and when you reach the ends, tuck them under the pocket you created at the back and then secure the twist with hair pins. Do the same to the other side and you will be done!!!
Add hairspray to hold your hair in place and you can as well add hair accessories to wear it to a formal or special occasion.
