SEXY BUN UPDO FOR NATURAL HAIR STYLE

Sexy bun updo for natural hair is a natural hairstyle for black women and African American women with medium length hair. This natural hairstyle looks great on ladies with thick natural black hair making it suitable for African women and African American women. Since this is an updo for natural hair, those who like to hide some of their facial features such as large ears or bulky forehead shouldn’t try this on their hair. It will take you approximately 10 to 15 minutes styling this natural hairstyle depending on your styling skills. If you are a cute and gorgeous young lady below 40 with either round or oval face shape, sexy bun updo for natural hairstyle will definitely be the best choice for you to try on your natural hair.

HOW TO STYLE SEXY BUN UPDO FOR NATURAL HAIR STYLE

If your hair is tangle, start by detangling it for a sleek bun. Using the tail of your comb, part your hair to the left and pull it back into a loose pony tail and secure it with elastic.

Use an alcohol free gel and gently smear you hair to make it smooth, soft and moist.  Alcohol free gel does no harm to natural hair and it rinses out easily making your hair sleek. You can use Olive oil styling gel coz it’s the one I use and I’m sure its alcohol free.

Get a min-hair brush to brush your hair to the back after applying the gel to make it flat on your head. Place your hair in place and continue applying the gel. Use a regular hair brush to make your hair smooth and flat especially on the edges.

Once your hair is in place and it looks just the way you want it to look like, place hair elastic tightly to form a ponytail. A tight bun will look great and stylish so make sure you place the elastic as tight as you want your hair bun to be. In case you notice that there are some pieces of hair strands seeking out, apply more gel and comb to make them smooth and flat.

Optional: Apply gel to your baby hair (hair at the perimeters of your hairline) and get your hair tooth brush to lay down your little baby hair. Use a hair scarf to tie down your hair so that you can easily work with the ponytail in the back.

Spray little quantities of water to your ponytail hair to make it wet or damp for easy styling and manageability. Add hair moisturizer to the ends of your hair to keep it moisturized. Get small quantities of the hair moisturizer (Karen’s body beautiful), mix it in your palms then gently apply to the ponytail ends.

Divide the ponytail hair into two sections and braid each section. Secure the divided section using hair clips so that they are easy to work on. Comb each section before braiding to make your hair flat and smooth for easy braiding. Do a two strand easy and quick braid (the braiding helps you to easily get your ponytail hair through the small hole of your bun maker coz you will just have to pull it through).

Now that your hair in the back is detangle and braided into two separate sections, remove the hair scarf you tied down your hair. Get a bun maker and push it through the two braids till when it reaches the elastic you secured at the ponytail.

You can now detangle your braids and use a regular brush to comb your hair evenly around the bun maker. Apply gel to smooth your hair and secure it down at the bottom of the bun maker using a ponytail holder or hair elastic.

Use the tail of your comb to tuck under the bun maker all the hair which is seeking out. You can add more ponytail holder or hair elastic in case you feel your hair isn’t secure. Finish the style by adding hair moisturizer to make your hair look soft, smooth and moisturized.

Note:

Style your hair before dressing up for work or any occasion. After styling, you can tie down your hair once again using hair scarf and a round covering at your bun to avoid staining your clothes with hair products. Remove the hair scarf and that round covering on your bun after dressing up and you will be good to go.

QUICK AND EASY NATURAL HAIR STYLES

There are many quick and easy hair styles which you can do on your hair for less than 5 minutes. In this case, we will share with you one of the quickest natural hair styles which you can do on your natural hair. This hair style will look great on black women or African American women with black hair in just 2-3 minutes. This natural hairstyle is best for ladies with both short hair and medium length natural hair as styling will be the same. It’s really simple which I call sometimes as DIY natural hair style for black hair. No styling tools such as curling iron, blow-dryer or straightening iron need so you are sure of no hair loss due to excess heat.

HOW TO STYLE QUICK AND EASY NATURAL HAIR STYLES

Start by spraying water on your hair to make it damp or wet. Pour clean lukewarm in a water spray bottle and gently spray it on your hair to make it wet or damp for easy styling and manageability.

Leave a small section of hair at the front. Place your two thumbs just right above the ends of your eyes and slide them a few inches up into your hair to create a front section of your hair. Secure the sectioned hair at the front using hair clips so that it’s easy to work with the rest of the hair.

Take small amounts of eco styler gel and mix it in between your palms and gently smear the rest of the hair at the back. You can comb your hair after smearing with gel to make sure it’s soft, smooth and free from twists and knots.

Pull your hair back into a ponytail or puff using a hair tie. If your hair is short, you have to pull a little harder so that the hair tie doesn’t easily get off. Knot the hair tie at the end so that it holds the ponytail (puff) securely.

Remove the hair clip which you used to secure the front section and then apply small amounts of eco styler gel to the front section to make it smooth, soft and easy to work on.

Fold the ends of the front sectioned hair inwards and use bobby pins or hair pins to secure it in place. Depending on the thickness of your natural hair, you can use as many bobby pins as you can.

Soften and soothe the short hair around the edges of your hairline using water. Just spray small quantities of water to the short hair around your edges and use a comb or hair tooth brush to brush out your short hair and baby hair bangs at the edges and sides of your hair.

You can also apply eco styler gel around the edges of your hair line to make the short hair smooth and sleek. You are done; it’s that simple, quick and easy. Isn’t it?

FLAT TWIST NATURAL HAIR STYLE

Flat twist mainly depends on the way you section your hair as it will determine the style of the twists which will be created after twisting. Medium length (shoulder length hair) to long hair can be styled to a flat twist for natural hair. Keep your hair clean and moist so that it’s easy to work on. Black women or African American women with black hair will definitely be the winners for this style. When styling you have to make sure that your hair is always kept moisturized so that it’s easy to work on.

HOW TO STYLE FLAT TWIST NATURAL HAIR STYLE

Start by wetting or damping your hair so that it’s easy to wash with shampoo and hair conditioner. Apply shampoo and hair conditioner to your natural hair to remove all the product residue and dirt. Rinse with warm water and allow it to dry by natural air. You can use your finger or a comb to detangle it.

Create a horizontal section in the back preferably below the crown of your head or slightly just below your ears and use water bottle to wet it a little so that you can easily stretch while your hair is still damp. Apply curl enhancing smoothie to keep your sectioned hair at the back moisturized and bring it together so that its secured in place using hair clips.

Make another section from the back over the top of your head. The section should start from behind your ears to the front of your ears on both sides of your head. Add hair moisturizer to it so that it also stays moisturized and bring it all together and clip it in place.

Now you have to create your last section in the remaining front hair. Moisturize it using Curl Enhancing smoothie, bring the hair together and clip it in place. In total you will be required to create three sections of your hair.

You can now start twisting the back section of your hair. Remove the hair clip from your back section and divide it in small sections so that it’s easy for you to create trendy and stylish flat twists for your natural hair. Wait before twisting, you have to add Crème Brule whipped curls and coconut oil to keep your hair moisturized for a long day. Apply Crème Brule whipped curls followed by coconut oil in the small section and use your hair brush to straighten it.

Start at the top (ends) to the roots of the small sectioned hair making a 2 strand twist down. Keep adding in hair to the twist downwards till when you run out of hair in that twist. Continue twisting till the ends of your hair and when you reach the ends, just rub it around your fingers so that to secure its ends.

Follow the above procedure and continue twisting till when you run out of hair in the back and top section.

When you are done with the back and the top section, remove the hair clip in the front. With the front section braid or twist the hair on the left down to the left, the hairs on the right down to the right and that at the front straight forward your face. Remember to first apply Crème Brule whipped curls followed by coconut oil to each small section before twisting. You can secure the front twist in place using hair pins or bobby pins and you are done.

CURLY TWISTED PIN UP NATURAL HAIR STYLE

Curly twisted pin-up natural hair style is a super cute hairstyle for short hair which looks great on women with black natural hair. As a hairstyle, I would recommend this natural hairstyle for African American women with short to medium length hair which is natural and black in color. It will take you approximately half an hour styling this natural curly twisted pinup natural hair style but for the style to be completed, you will give your natural hair 6 to 8 hours to air dry naturally after rodding it up.

HOW TO STYLE CURLY TWISTED PIN UP NATURAL HAIR STYLE

Start by washing your hair using leather hair bathe and cream hair rinte to remove any product residues and make your hair easy to work on.

Part your hair from ear to ear using the tail of your comb and tie the front section a way for now. Apply Afrodisia 9 leave-in hair portion to add some moisture to your hair and to make it easy to work with.

Using the tail of your comb, part the back section in the middle to create two uniform sections and clip one section so that you can work on one section at a time.

Using a hair brush, smooth your hair by brushing it up towards the top of your head after which you can start flat twisting from the bottom of your head towards the top of your head. As you twist upwards, keep adding in hair to the 2 or 3 strand twist till when you reach the top. Once you reach the top, pin the ends down using bobby pins to secure the twist in place.

Remove the hair clips from the other side of the back section and do the same as you have done to the first side. When you are done twisting the back section, remove the hairclip or elastic (whatever tool you used to secure your front section) from the front section so that you style it in a curly natural hairstyle.

You are going to use flex rods to achieve the curls in the front section of your hair. Taking small hair strands, apply Shea butter leave-in to moisturize your hair. Use a mixture of lotta body setting lotion and water to set the curls.

Detangle your hair using hair brush or your fingers so that it’s flat on the flexing rod. Roll the hair up on the rod from the ends to its roots. Bend the ends of the flex rod so that it stays in place.  Do the same for the remaining front sectioned hair and allow your hair to air dry (give your hair 6 to 8 hours to thoroughly air dry).

You can now gently remove the rods and add some oil to your hand to minimize frizz when separating the curls. As you separate the curls in four pieces, do it in the direction of the curls so that they keep their shape.

Gently use a large toothed comb to lift the roots of your curled hair to make your curls super bouncy. Bring up the hair in the sides and using eco styler olive oil gel smoothen out the edges of your hair so that they look nice and flat. Pinup the hair on the sides to the top using bobby pins and you are done. Enjoy the style.

CURLY BRAIDED UPDO FOR NATURAL HAIR STYLES

Curly braided updo on natural hair is a super bounce updo for short hair which looks great on women with black natural hair. This natural hair style is appropriate for African American women with short to medium length hair which is natural and black in color. It will take you approximately 15 to 20 minutes styling this natural curly braided updo hair style but for the style to be complete, you will give your natural hair 12 to 24 hours to dry naturally by air after rodding it up.

HOW TO STYLE CURLY BRAIDED UPDO FOR NATURAL HAIR STYLES

Start by washing your hair using leather hair bathe and cream hair rinte to remove any product residues and make your hair easy to work on. Apply Afrodisia 9 leave-in hair portion to detangle and reduce frizz on your hair. Afrodisia 9 leave-in hair portion also has UV-protection which will help you protect your hair against UV-light and emissions.

Divide your hair into four sections and secure each section in place using hair clips. Blow-dry each section using the tension method to make your hair completely dry. In the process of blow drying, you can comb your hair using radial hair brush to make your hair straight and remove any twists or knots.

After all your hair is completely dry, finger comb your hair and section out small front hair and secure it with hair clips or hair elastic.

You can now start braiding your hair, beginning to braid at the side. Section your hair from the sides to the top to form kind of a curved part. However, before braiding, apply Butter cream hydrator to make your hair moisturized so that’s it’s easy to work on and total protection argon oil to seal in moisture and give your hair a super shine.

Following the curved section you made, braid up your hair from the sides to the top of your head and do the same with the rest of the remaining hair at the side.

For the back section, divide your hair in the middle and work on one side at a time. Apply Butter cream hydrator to make your hair moisturized and total protection argon oil to seal in moisture. Braid your hair in an upward curved manner towards the center line of your head. Do the same thing on the other side of the divided section of hair at the back.

Once the back section is completed, you can remove the hair clip or elastic from the front section so that you can work on it. In the front section, you are going to flex rod it using your desired colors of the flex rods.

Take medium size chunks or strands of hair and spray it with little quantities of water for easy application of Cream jelle styler to style your curls. You can add on more organ oil to give your hair a fine shine and use a hair brush to straighten it up.

You are now free to rod up your hair from its ends to the roots and bend the rod so that it stays in place. Continue rodding up the entire front section till when it’s all “rode” up.

Let your hair air dry naturally by giving it 12 to 24 hours before removing the rods. You can remove the rods the following day when you are sure that your hair dried naturally and thoroughly.

Put little amounts of organ oil to reduce frizz when separate your curls. Use your hands to separate each curl into four pieces in the direction of the curls so that the curls stay in style.

Fix the back by fixing up the loose curls in the back. Twist them up towards your crown, tuck the ends under and pin them in place using bobby or hair pins. You can use a large toothed comb to make your curls super bouncy and defined. You are done. It’s that simple.

CUTE CURLY FRO NATURAL HAIR STYLE

This is the easiest cute natural hair styles for women with short black natural hair. Cute curly Fro for natural hair will look cute on pretty ladies with short hair and round or oval face shapes. Well I see many African American women wear this natural hairstyle but I believe it can also be styled for white ladies with short or medium length hair.

HOW TO STYLE CUTE CURLY FRO NATURAL HAIR STYLE

Start by cleaning your hair with the recommended hair products for your specific type and thickness of your hair. Rinse your hair with clean warm water and then apply hair moisturizer to keep your hair moist and workable.

Finger comb your hair to dry it using natural air but you have to leave it a little wet or damp coz damp hair is easy to work on. Apply moisturizer and conditioner containing leave-in to get your hair ready for styling. The moisturizer will keep your hair moist while the conditioner will hold and lock in the moisture.

Saturate your hair (completely make your hair wet) and section it so that you work on one section at a time.

Set the curls with multiple size perm rods in a style you want your hair and curls to look like. Make sure every part of your head is completely set with multiple size perm rods. You might set them vertically or horizontally to your head (I prefer vertical placement of the rods for cute bouncy curls) depending on the style you want to create.

Finger coil hair sections which are too short to be rolled (like ones at the sides or edges of your hairline). Allow your hair to air dry for some time then remove the rods gently in the direction of the curls so that their shape isn’t altered.

Seal your hair with oils to lock in the moistures and carefully separate each curl in the direction of the curls so that the curls stay in place. Use a large toothed comb to lift the roots of your curls so that your curly natural hair style looks cute and bouncy. You are done and good to go.

It’s an easy natural hairstyle which will take you less than 20 minutes to style depending on your styling skills. The most important thing I like about goddess braid hair style is that it’s comfortable and can be worn to any occasion (both casual and formal special occasions.
