First, take all the hair from the top and section it off. You can use hairgrip to help you hold your sectioned hair in place. Sectioning off the hair from the top will help you to use the remaining hair to form a French twist.
Twist the remaining hair as if you are going to form a ponytail and bring it up. Keep twisting the remaining hair from the roots to the ends so that the twist naturally form a French twist. Tag the ends of your twisted hair and secure it at the very top using hairpins.
It’s time to release the sectioned hair at the top and add volume to it by teasing it. This will help ladies with thin or fine hair to add volumes to it so that it looks thicker.
Hold small sections (not larger that the width of your comb) starting from the backend and gently tease it. Bring the teased hair to the back and continue to the next section. Do this till when you are done with all the sections of the hair you sectioned from the top. Gently comb the teased hair to the back to bring all the hair together.
Spray your hair using a hairspray to keep a strong hold of your hair all day long. Apply little amounts so that your hair doesn’t look too oily. Continue combing to make sure that all the hair goes in the right direction.
Bring all the hair together and hold the ends and tuck them in into your French twist and secure it along the twist using hairpins. If you have thick hair, you might need to use quite a lot of hair pins and for ladies with thin or fine hair, you need just a few hairpins.
While pinning, gently grab some hair from the twist using the hairpin and some from the scalped under the twist so that the hair is firmly secured. Place the pins right next to each other.
Depending on the style and look you want to create, you can leave the front hair the way it is, direct it to your forehead using your figures or a comb or bring it all to the back for a modern look. Finish the French twist hairstyle with hairspray to hold your hair in place according to your preferred style and you are good to go.
